HEALTHY RECIPE  :   COCONUT - OATS PAYASAM


















3/4 CUP OATS

1 CUP FRESH COCONUT - GRATED

500 ML. MILK - FULL FAT


1 CUP WATER

2 TBSP. GHEE

1 CUP SUGAR 

8-10 CASHEW NUTS -  CHOPPED IN SMALL PIECES

15 - 20 RAISINS

8 -10 PISTACHIOS - SLIVERED

HEAT GHEE IN A THICK BOTTOMED PAN.
ADD CHOPPED CASHEW NUTS AND RAISINS.
SAUTÉ TILL THEY  LIGHTLY BROWNED.












THEN ADD OATS WITH IT. AND SAUTÉ
FOR 1 MINUTE OVER LOWER HEAT.
















THEN ADD GRATED FRESH COCONUT IN
IT.
MIX WELL TOGETHER AND SAUTÉ FOR  2 MINUTES.















ADD MILK IN TO THE PAN AND MIX WELL ALL THE INGREDIENTS NICELY. 
COOK FOR FIVE MINUTES.



























ADD SUGAR IN PAYASAM AND MIX. COOK TILL SUGAR MELT.
















ADD WATER AND STIRRING CONTINUOUSLY OVER  LOWER THE HEAT.








ADD CARDAMOM POWDER AND MIX WELL.
















MAKE A PAYASAM CONSISTENCY. 
THEN REMOVE FROM HEAT.
















SERVE HOT, GARNISHING WITH PISTACHIOS.











* IF YOU WANT TO SERVE COLD YOU HAS TO MAKE SOME LOOSE CONSISTENCY OF PAYASAM, TO AVOID THICKNESS OF   PAYASAM.
