HEALTHY RECIPE : MAVA PEDA























500 GRAMS MAVA -KHOYA

300 GRAM SUGAR -COARSELY GRIDDED

1 TBSP. DESHI GHEE

1/2 TBSP. CARDAMOM

OR

1/2 TBSP. NUTMEG POWDER - JAYFAL POWDER

OR

1 TBSP. MELTED SAFFRON IN MILK

GRATE A MAVA IN A BIG BOWL.
ADD COARSELY GRIDDED SUGAR.
MIX WELL TO GATHER WITHOUT FLAME.
COVER WITH LID FOR THREE HOURS.
OPEN THE LID AND MIX WELL.
PUT THE MAVA MIXTURE INTO THE THICK BOTTOMED PAN.
ADD GHEE AND MIX WELL.
COOK ON SLOW FLAME AND STIRRING CONTINUOUSLY TILL IT LEFT THE BOTTOM.


















AND APPEARS GHEE FROM MAVA MIXTURE OR TILL RELEASE A GHEE.
REMOVE FROM FLAME AND ADD CARDAMOM POWDER OR NUTMEG POWDER OR SAFFRON.
MIX WELL AND STIRRING CONTINUOUSLY TO AVOID LUMPS.
WHEN MIXTURE COME AT ROOM TEMPERATURE MAKE BALLS FOR PEDA. 
SLIGHTLY PRESS WITH THUMB.
DECORATE WITH PISTACHIOS SLIVERS ON IT.
STORE IN A CONTAINER FOR ONE MONTH.
